More about Parker
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT#160680). I completed my Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University and have continued my training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy at Wright Institute Los Angeles. I also work with adolescents and young adults at Community West, a treatment center specializing in OCD, trauma, and anxiety-related disorders. I work with adults, adolescents, and young teens, and facilitate process and social dreaming groups in-person.
The world is too noisy to hear yourself.
Day-to-day life often leaves no room for one’s inner dialogue. We can have trouble finding the words that describe how we feel. Work anxiety, lingering resentments, ambivalence around one’s own sexual or gender identity, rage, fear: all inhibit our ability to know ourselves. Therapy can give you the time and space to listen to your inner voice and say what is on your mind.
Together, we can make sense of your experience.
My approach is psychoanalytically informed and rests on a belief in speech’s ability to give voice to one’s unconscious. Symptoms, dreams, and even the familiar expressions one uses without thinking, are encoded messages from the unconscious. We will work together to hear what has been unspeakable and make sense of what has been unknowable.
